Coelacanths & SPOOF
Hi
<Hello there>
Just skimmed your article at
http://www.wetwebmedia.com/FWSubWebIndex/crossopterygiiforms.htm
Interesting (if a little out of date), but what I really  want to know is if you have contact details for SPOOF which you mention early on in your article - I can't seem to find online.
<Me neither... I would write the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists re: http://www.asih.org/>
I'm in the Communications department at the South African Institute for Aquatic Biodiversity (formerly known as the JLB Smith Institute for Ichthyology, Coelacanths are our stuff!)  and I'd very much like to get hold of SPOOF.
<I'll bet! Latimeria is their "logo". Bob Fenner>
Thanks so much
PS.  We now know of Coelacanths at 2metres long and a single female was caught round the early nineties, with 26 term pups inside her!
