Monacanthus tuckeri Bean 1906, the Slender Filefish. Western Atlantic; North Carolina to the Antilles. To four inches in length. St Thomas 2014

Monanchora arbuscula (Duchassaing & Michelotti 1864), the Red Encrusting Sponge. Bright red to pink thin-walled sheets, with darker radiating veins from excurrent siphons. In older works listed as M. barbadensis. To 10 inches across. St Thomas 2014
 
Mulloidichthys martinicus (Cuvier 1829), the Yellow Goatfish. Tropical west Atlantic. To sixteen inches in length. One in St. Lucia, the others off the Bahamas. An occasional import from Caribbean collectors. St Thomas 2014
 
Mycetophyllia aliciae, Knobby Cactus, Thin Fungus Coral. Usually found as thin convex plates, with distinctive raised star-shaped polyps. Bordered by ridges that run inward, though less pronounced, common than others of the genus in the region. St Thomas 2014
