Calotomus virdescens (Ruppell 1835), the Dotted Parrotfish. Red Sea endemic. To 27 cm. in length. Lives on sandy bottoms and seagrass beds. Here is an initial phase individual in the Gulf of Aqaba, off the beach at Na'ama Bay, Sharm. 
 
Cetoscarus ocellatus (Valenciennes 1840), the Bicolor Parrotfish. Likely the most commonly sold species of Parrotfish in the aquarium interest... almost exclusively as juveniles. Indo-Pacific, Red Sea to Tuamotus. To three feet in length (not a misprint). A couple inch juvenile in Wakatobi, S. Sulawesi, Indo.

Indo-Pacific, Red Sea to Tuamotus. To three feet in length (not a misprint). A two plus foot long terminal phase/male in the upper Red Sea.
