Acreichthys tomentosus (Linnaeus 1758), the Bristle-Tail Filefish, is the "Man of the Hour" if you have the ultimate Aiptasia/Glass Anemone woes... it is reputedly the predator par excellence of these noisome pests. Indo-West Pacific in distribution. To four inches maximum length. In MI at Preuss' Tropicals

Amblycirrhitus pinos (Mowbray 1927),  the Ruby or Red Spotted Hawkfish. One of only two Caribbean species. To almost four inches in length. It is hardy, inexpensive (usually less than $20.00) and readily available. One out in Key Largo in 09

Amphiprion latezonatus Waite 1900, the Wide-Band Anemonefish. Dark brown bodied, with three (especially the middle) wide white body bars. Found only off Lord Howe Island and the coast near the Queensland-NSW border. This one photographed at IMAC West in Quality Marine's tank/booth.

Opistognathus sp. U1. One of many as-yet undescribed Jawfish species. Dr. Randall (pers. corr.) told me once that he had backlogged at least a dozen or so in this family... let's hope he gets around to them soon. This one at Kevin P's store, Aquatic Dreams, in Spokane, WA.
